We believe it’s more important than ever to convene practitioners from around the country to explore the unique gifts and challenges of faithful presence in rural communities. Our conversations are often imbalanced, focusing primarily on cities and suburbs. But as we were reminded throughout 2016, rural people, places, and ministry matter—for their own sake, but also because urban and rural parishes are ecologically, economically, politically, and spiritually linked. We can only flourish together.
